benQ snake phone

wow! This mobile phone is very cool! the model is unique and funny so is suitable for use by young people
BenQ-Siemens finally came out with a new futuristic mobile phone concept.
After loosing so much money in Europe, they finally brought up this cool new mobile phone design, that, incredibly, looks like a snake and can be rapped around your wrist.
We don’t know exactly how this phone will be operated or how will you be able to communicate using this device because I don’t see any physical or virtual keyboard.
Actually all I see is the “answer” and “reject call” buttons and the “play” and “pause” buttons, probably used in media-player applications. And at the back of the phone I’ve spotted something black that might look like a display, but we don’t know for sure.
The design is quite nice, and the phone has rather small dimensions from what I see in the pictures. The combination of red, white and some black parts makes it look great, but I’m quite sure you will be able to change the theme color, if we can call it that way.
BenQ-Siemens Snake Phone is also great because it reduces the risk of loosing your phone, but the damage risk has grown. Anyway, we hope that soon enough we’ll be able to see people wearing such devices on the streets.

The pool is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest in the world. The swimming pool is situated on the edge of this Chilean coast hold water up to as many as 66 million gallons (250,000 cubic meters of water).

maybe even a swimming pool can be regarded as a lake because of its large size, you can also unwind with a boating or sunbathing on a rubber boat

Microsoft Tabletop Technology Surfaces

Wednesday 30 May 2007

Microsoft has revealed its new Surface computer technology which turns a tabletop into an interactive tool that responds to touch.

Microsoft Surface computers use a screen embedded in a tabletop that can recognize physical objects such as a paintbrush or a cell phone, and allows users to directly manipulate content such as images, music and maps.

The surface can also be used to read bar codes, ID cards, download photos from digital cameras, play digital board games, or as a remote control for your TV.

The new technology will initially be available to corporate customers only, and will start to appear in retail and entertainment settings later this year.

The equipment it uses is currently too expensive to sell to consumers, but Microsoft believes that eventually this technology will find its way into schools, workplaces and then our homes.

laser keyboard virtual

The Celluon laser keyboard acts exactly like any other "ordinary" keyboard: A direction technology based on an optical recognition mechanism enables the user to tap on the projected key images, while producing real tapping sounds (we call it the WOW effect..). You are welcome to order the VKB straight from us, using the one page order form (here) or to follow the guidance in the How-To-Buy form for balk quantities, dealers agreement etc (here).

Note: It is important for you to know that our online support center is here (top left corner) to serve you almost 24h a day. We are waiting for your questions like: can it connect to the new _________, technical help in pairing the VKB, how to operate it, how to tune the sounds, how to replace its battery, is it turned off automatically and when, can I sell in Latvia? etc. Don't forget to check the FAQ section as well. Full service, full support, before and AFTER...

The Virtual Laser Keyboard - Magic Cube Features:
About the size of a small cellular phone, (90 x 34 x 24 mm), the VKB enables users to type texts or e-mails as easily as with a ordinary keyboard. Imagine how easy it would be, if you had a proper mobile phone keyboard that fits in your pocket...

The Celluon Virtual Keyboard uses a light projection of a full-sized computer keyboard on almost any surface. Used with PDA's and Smart Phones, the Virtual Keyboard provides a practical way to do e-mail, word processing and spreadsheet tasks, enabling users to leave laptops and computers at home.
VKB's adaptable technology studies the user's finger movements to interpret and record keystrokes. Because the virtual keyboard is an image projected by light, it disappears completely when not in use.

When using the VKB settings can be changed either via your laptop, your PC or your compatible Smartphone and PDA:

# Sound: controllable Virtual Keyboard sound effects (keyclicks)
# Connection: Connection to the appropriate Laptop/PC port
# Intensity: Intensity of the projected Virtual Keyboard
# Timeouts: coordinated timeouts to conserve the Virtual Keyboard's battery life
# Sensitivity: adjustable sensitivity of the Virtual Keyboard
# Auto-repeat: Allows the VKB to automatically repeat a key based on prescribed parameters

Toyota's robot violinist played a traditional Chinese folk song at the Shanghai World Expo.

The Shanghai World Expo got a special treat this past week in the Japanese pavilion, when Toyota’s famed violin-playing robot thrilled the crowd with a rendition of the Chinese folk song Mo Li Hua (jasmine flower). The bipedal artificial violinist hasn’t been seen much since its debut back in 2007. It was one of several Toyota bots playing musical instruments at the 2010 Expo, but this line of “Partner Robots” is under development to eventually serve as personal assistants – being a musician is just a side line. You can see a great clip of the Toyota bot playing Mo Li Hua after the break, as well as its original rendition of Pomp and Circumstance from 2007.

The violin-playing Toyota robot doesn’t give the most virtuoso performance, but it’s not supposed to. Toyota seems to be using the musical performance as a test and demonstration of the robots versatile movements and precision. Along with its brass band brethren (shown here in a low quality video from the Expo) the violin bot is likely to become a healthcare worker aimed at assisting the elderly. An aging global population has prompted other major machine/robot manufacturing companies to enter this market. We’ve recently seen some promising new healthcare bots from Panasonic, and iRobot has made noises about starting up a large project to that end. Whether or not Toyota’s Partner Robots, or their competitors, will actually become functioning nurse-like assistants is yet to be seen, but I anticipate major growth in this field of robotics in the years ahead. So good luck to you, violinist robot, you may soon be putting down your instrument and picking up an elder’s groceries. If that doesn’t work out, let me know. I have the perfect band for you to join.
